SEVILLA has a starring role in the new Game of Thrones trailer.
The clip gives the first look at the penultimate series of the hit fantasy series, which was filmed in locations across Spain.
It opens with a shot of Sevilla’s Real Alcazar Palace, doubling as Queen Cersei’s palace in Dorne.
The trailer promises that a ‘great war is coming’ as Cersei, played by Lena Headey, vows to defeat all enemies.
Daenerys says she will fulfil her birthright, claiming: “I was born to rule the Seven Kingdoms.”
The clip goes on to show San Juan de Gaztelugatxe in the Basque region, where Melisandre is seen watching figures approach Dragonstone.
The huge castle in Almodóvar del Río in Cordoba was another key filming location at the end of last year and will likely feature heavily in the show.
The city of Caceres and nearby town of Malpartida will also feature.
The seventh season of Game of Thrones begins on July 16 on HBO in Spain.
