THE transfer from Malaga airport to Malaga city has been named as the fourth best in Europe. 

The ranking, from GoEuro, looked at distance, duration, price and transport mode when choosing its top 10 most convenient public transport transfers between European airports and their respective city centres.

Malaga was ranked fourth and was praised for being the cheapest, at around €2 by train, and for the journey being only four kilometres.

Nice in France ranked first, followed by Lanzarote and Birmingham.

Frankfurt rounded out the top five.
